(May tend to be on Government dependency) To prevent this they must have to provide one Affidavit of Support from a USA Petitioner on the day of their interviews.

The 2020 dv lottery instructions clearly state that the winner must provide an affidavit of support to issue with the required visa other than the normal requirements.

To proof this they must take enough funds with them to survive in the USA.
